  • [#86] Happy Chinese New Year

One, Two Three...  Chink it up!!!  LOL!

  • [#84] +WANNA -PLAY?

Haven't been updated for a while coz soooo much had happened and the more I don't update, the more I can't be bothered to  Lazy me! Have been writing small stuff and just keep it to myself though. Wanna read? Show me the ring first! :o )

So I decided that a post for the New Year...which actually I started writing quite a long time ago (but never had time to finish :) would be about something happily gorgeous -- VIDEO GAMES! Wait untill you see all the pics and trailers below, you'll understand what I mean!

    Final Fantasy Series

Once you live in Tokyo, one thing you are never gonna miss in your life is: VIDEO GAMES. To the ones who have never played Final Fantasy (FF) series: you are missing out big. In Japan, everybody, old and young, boy and girl, knows this game -- without even having to be a fan of games, just like everybody knows Si-Chuan Food but you don't have to Chink-it-up and go to China to hear about it... I started playing this series about 2 years ago when I was still a student and had tons of time. I got sucked in. But the thing is my 'start point' was too high. The first game I played in that series was FF X (till now, in total there are eleven games in this series: FF I ~ FF XI. And FFX was the first one in this series on PlayStation2, as its hardware). The unspeakable beauty of the pictures and the quality of animation just blew me up from the seat. No wonder it's the No.1 graphic-emphasized game series in Japan. So after FF X, I tried to play FF VII or even earlier ones in the series...stories are good but of course there is no way to campare them with X in terms of graphic quality coz PlayStation2 uses DVD sized softwares!

And then there was FF X-2, the continuation of X, which made FF X became the only one in this series that has its own continuation... But the story of X-2 wasn't so shitty. It was obviously designed for the maniacs of this game who just collects the games. However the picture quality was as good or even better than X.

Then FF XI came out...the first online game in the series history. That just involves too much time and energy coz you have to find people online, make parties and level up. It's just not a game for 'salaryman' like me. So I can't even be bothered to know the story...

So it's been a while since I played FF X... I thought that was the best and most beautiful game ever made...until I saw trailers of --

    Final Fantasy XII!

My first image of this up-coming game was: OMG!

It didn't take long for me to realize that it's not just gonna be a game, but also a movie, a story and most of all, a piece of art! The graphic was even more shockingly beautiful, detailed to every tiny pattern on the clothes. Too bad that it's not out until 2005...which is soon though!

Don't skip the trailers! You'll know what I mean by 'shockingly beautiful' when you see them! Gosh wish it is out now...

Final Fantasy VII -- Advent Children

As I said, I have been playing FF VII recently... the story was so good and it is pretty long (3 discs!). But it was on PlayStation1, which means the capacity/quality can't be as good as on PS2...

But wait, just recently (last summer), this FF VII, which came out 7 years ago was made into a movie. Wohoo! The stories of the movie was set to happen 2 years after the ending of the story in the game. Same characters but now it's a movie so you can expect much more! (the costume is a bit...gothic, hehe) You've got to check this out. Enter here and then click 'trailers', choose your suitable net speed, then sit back and enjoy! (No.2 is in English)

    Devil May Cry 3

The coolest action game. I played Devil May Cry 1 and 2 before, not 3 yet. Graphicly speaking, not as good as FF VIII ~  (good enough though)...

However, today I'm just gonna say that the theme song of D.M.C 3, which I heard only ONCE at a promotion counter in some shop, made me run home afterwards and download it as soon as I turned on the computer, and now I'm listening to it almost everyday!!! Click the title to watch and listen! Not enough? Then also here!

    Have a playful 2005!

  • Merry  Christmas!!!

  • [#83] Show Time:  Cinderella

Yes, this is the reason I have been so busy for the past weeks and can't come back here and update. Aaah! Have so much to tell but so little time to put all the stories and fotos here...

Cinderella (of TTFC, Tokyo Theatre For Children) was on show until yesterday and I was doing props... First time being Mr. Props made feel great but a bit scary. I prayed and prayed and prayed that it wouldn't go wrong and wouldn't suck because of me... well coz I had never done props all by myself before, always did what I was told and also coz I just jumped into this production 2 weeks before curtain call and I had ABSOLUTELY no idea which props goes where...not even at the final tech/dress rehearsal!

Actually it turned out fine -- from my very 'professional' point of view ;o) Except for a Christmas tree (props of course) that we had to carry in and out during each black out, fell down to the floor of backstage at every show and one or two decoration balls were smashed into pieces each time, so by the end of the show the tree almost looked bald...LOL! Also except for the heavy curtain that we had to put on and off a background set with a hand-made hook (to make it appear/disappear) during each blackout, fell one time a day in the darkness during setting and the bar smashed the faces of 3 of us one day each, and still we could hear the little kids shout from the audience side: Hurry-uuuup! Also except for the fact that there were way too many kids...everything went well. :)

Speaking of kids, ohhh yes, lots of kids there. Including little ones and  the tiny ones. They sat (crawled?) on their special territory -- some red carpet in front of the 'adult seats'. We arranged so because sometimes actors will go off stage and mingle with them during the show. But it can get really annoying when just one or two of them wouldn't stop crying or shouting when it was quiet up on stage...I just wanted to shoot them from behind the curtain...seriously! But overall it was great. One or two shows the audience were more 'adult' so more concentration gained. Had so much little fun from the audience's reaction and the kids, when they were paying attention, could give great reactions too.

    <Click To Enlarge>

It was a totally cross-dressed show, did I mention that!? LOL! How gay is that!

Talented Jack, played the perfect role of the evil sister Belle.

    Ball dancers. Soooo cute!

Who else can be Belle and Donna as Jack and Ian do, the best part of the show!

Sam's (Cinderella) daughter was brought in to backstage during intermission, crying her tiny nose off. She was wondering why the ugly ones above had to be so mean to her mom. Soooo cute!!!

    'What a pretty sight!'

    The 'Funky-Monkey Dance', audience paticipated.

Me and Lenne (Prince Charming), feeling great with that cool head-set

...and plus Cindy in her servant look.

Men In Black III -- Backstage hands.

Love Sandy's (William) kids. The little Superman stood up at every show while Sandy walked nearby acting in front of him in the audience area, saying :'Mommy!?'

Of course the after party was loads of fun too! With Caroline (the King).

  • [#82] Sunday Night SP: Home Alone, Again

Now my boi is gone. He came here to visit me for ten days and now he is gone. I just came back from Narita Airport with an empty heart. Coz I knew that I was gonna face an empty room when I open the door, getting into the empty Futon by myself from tonight on and open an empty fridge which was at least not that empty in the past 10 days looking for food...again! It's third time we said good-by to each other at the airport and I just hate that feeling!

To relief this emptiness, I think, maybe it's time to update my xanga coz I feel I had shut off too long from you guys and it's time to tell me what's happening in my life recently -- except for the time spent with my boi coz that's gonna be several another whole posts...and you know, with a lot of fotos.  Ha!

    Design Workshop (10.9. @ Shubuya)

Went to an opening party of a design shop, invited by the organizer of this event, which was held by  'the' E&Y. It was a simple 2-level warehouse, with several pieces of nice designed furniture, stuff, mild lighting and a lot of people, it looked nice and warm.

Ok, this one is food, not exhibit!

    Di-Di in Town  (10.17.)

DemetersDaughter a.k.a. Di-Di was visiting from Gi-fu, so we Xanga-comrades went out having fun, and that's also during my boi's visit so dun be surprised to see him in the fotos! :)

Din-din @ an Italian restaurant close to Ni-chome

Dessert @ Comme Ca Cafe in Shinjuku

                       Drinks @ Pappi-Chulos in Ni-chome

Karaoke @ Bar KUSUO in Ni-chome

    Simon in Town (10.15 - 24)

Both of us had a great time is what I can say in short here.

Today when I came back home after sending him to the airport, I found on the desk a very lovely present he left: a foto frame with lots of fotos we took together here, which I had no idea when he went to the foto shop and had them printed coz they are all digital fotos and are kept in my computer! Also attached with a sweet message, that is the sweetist thing I've ever got.

What I was really surprised was how much stuff he forgot to take and left at my place!

    * A pair of pants he used as pajamas when he was here;

    * A long-sleef shirt, a short-sleef shirt with several undies;

    * Loads of MDs I bought him last night;

    * A poopie that talks (?)

To Simon: Hey there, I really wish you come back soon and collect them, lol!

Typhoon and Earthquakes  (expected any time)

Typhoon hits town one after another recently and the biggest earthquake just happened last nigth. Some friends and I laughed at it and said that it was Simon's fault -- coz those happened after he came, lol. But to be serious, the earthquake that happened yesterday when we were at Disney Sea, was the biggest one I have ever heard (fortunately I didn't feel it) after I moved to Japan and really killed people.

  • [#81] OZ Trip:  // Day 6 // -- 10th Aug  (Tue.)  Office & Bin-gay!

Spent all my daytime at Simon's office today. Got up early, looked at my boy getting dressed into nice shirt and tie for the first time, both got into car and after 10 min we were already at Darling Harbour, where his office is.

It's such an amazing harbour (more fotos below). The smell of water comes up while you are walking along the riverside and you can feel the fresh wet air. Besides, I LOVE that huge Frank + Jim poster-flag hanging on the bridge.

Stepping into his floor was the call center, busy busy. He has his own office at the very end of the room.

I spent a day there, met lots of his co-workers, they all knew me weeks before I got there and were all excited to meet me. I felt so flattered. I even had an interview with Simon's boss! Oh of course everyone is gay, the gayer the merrier, that's the new office rule!

I said Darling Harbour is amazing, and it's followed with hard evidence!  Beautiful no matter day or night.

I just love this one, and my camera of course!

Plans for the night 1: Dinner at Thai-restaurant with bunch of friends!  Soooo much food and soooo yummy!

Plans for the night 2: Bin-gay, the gay version of Bingo. Hosted by a famous drag-queen and a famous lesbian, it was filled with talk-show/action and it became one the hottest place for hanging out. It was just AMAZING to see so many people gathering in this bar to play!

From left, Patrick and Chris from work, Simon, Simon again, Eddy, Rory, and Matt.

So, obviously someone got lucky, 'Bin-gay!' is what you have to shout. Oh it's Simon! And I won something too! That pig sings!

GOSH! I'm updating things that happened in Aug. while my boy is gonna be here to visit me in 3 days! Have to hurry!!!

  • [#81] OZ Trip:  // Day 5 // -- 9th Aug  (Mon.)  Sunshine Coast 3

Yummm........! The honey we saw on the last day's breakfast buffet: Dripping directly from a bee nest!

On the balcony of the hotel room

We took a long walk along the back of the hotel, so relaxing and peaceful!

We found these gorgeous 'weekend houses', some even already furnished, by the lake while walking around

Oh the Yacht, or whatever it is called, was so much fun! Once he pulled the string too fast and it left without me  :)

After this long long vacation of the vacation, we flew home on Monday night. I was so burnt. And for the first time I met Aaron, Simon's best friend (middle) and I cooked dinner. Matt came home (right) and we took this foto, you can see how dark I was after only exposing 2.5 days under the sun of Sunshine Coast. Now I know why it was named like that...(actually it was more than a tan, I was burnt!)

Then 3 of us, Simon Aaron and E went to watch a movie at night [Connie and Carla], an absolutely funny and very nicely acted. You should go watch that too! :)

  • [#80] OZ Trip:  // Day 4 // -- 8th Aug  (Sun.)  Sunshine Coast 2

Woke up around 5:30am to take this tour to Fraser Island! Woohoo! A mini bus with maximum 6 people + driver, left our hotel in the twilight without too much noise. It was a long drive indeed. And Simon and I were sitting at the back seats so wasn't too comfortable to have a too long drive but luckily we stopped in the middle and other people exchaged seats with us so wasn't bad at all. Together in the car were two married couples, one mid-aged from OZ and one elder from U.S.

Tea-time! Having a break after driving half and hour by the sea, with huge, red or I'd rather say, colourful rocks on the other side. Time for breakfast! And by the way you can figure the average age of the 'tour' by yourself can't ya? FYI- we were obviously the only (proud) gay couple there :)

This guide guy drove really fast, and also good skilled too.

But those sand-based 'race courses' were just not that flat. We kept bumping up and down in the car and sometimes burst out laughing because of some really severe jumps.

    ...Roller Coaster Fun...

Anyway the scenary was beeeeautiful from two sides of the car windows and we had really good chat. So it was worth the bumps! :o )

Then sailing time! The boat took us to where our final stop was. It felt really nice when the boat pulled away with us and our cars on it and leaving the island where we came from behind.

This pic was taken from the car when we got off the boat and carried on the journey into the forest park on Fraser Island. I shook my hands and the trees got all blured and road twisted...

And also it became one of my favorite fotos.

Don't you agree it's kinda ...noice?

Here we went into the forest.

    According to the guides:

Those things lived on the earth for 2500 years!

    DAMN THEY ARE OLD!

The sand down there is famous of there pureness that they can be used to wash jewelleries.

    Grandma's jewelleries of course!

The whole forest was amazing, the trees were huge and Simon was afaid of snake falling on his head. LOL! The foto on the right is the place people used to see lots of Dingos...which were mostly shot dead because they were thought to be dangerous coz they bite. But hey even pandas bite! Anyway you can't even see a shadow of that original animal when your are touring here any more.

Oh the beach! Fianally we got to the beach. Great sunshine, cool breeze and beatiful beach! Water was cold and...SOMEONE didn't know where to get changed!

Sun-bathe was only for 20 min coz we had this BBQ...yeeeah! Wanna some OZ beef!? Later I knew how burnt I was merely 20min under the OZ sun!

Little business-use plane on the island and some bush-fire we spotted when we left the island on the boat.

Left is the natural colour of the mud on the island, right was after some children throwing some rocks into it.

Oh! Did I mention that it was already 4pm and it's time to go home (takes two hours) and chill out in the room getting some room service and watch Australian Idol?   ;o)

  • [#79] OZ Trip Diary 2

So it's been 2 weeks since I came back from Sydney and I had absolutely no time to update my Sydney trip until now. And I miss my boy sooo much! Long distant sucks.

    What's New?

New Place: I moved finally, to the new place and already became friends with the lesbian couple -- my new neighbours. But still have lots of shit to arrange...they are lying everywhere on the floor shouting at me...so I'm still sleeping at my dear old dorm these days untill things settle. I'm excited about it and looking forward to getting everything in place soon.

GE Interview: The phone interview calling from Washington went well so I passed, and was told to have the next one -- site interview, which is at the Tokyo Akasaka HQ. I never thought I'd gone so far. One test plus two interviews, one in English one in Japanese...lasted for 3 hours! Gosh I don't care if I'd get in at all. I'm already pretty proud of myself that I survived a 3-hour-interview!

Ni-chome Matsuri: Yay yay yay! The gay festival in Ni-chome! Once a year, tons of bloons heaps of fireworks floods of people. But there is NO parade this year, AGAIN! How disappointing! Anyway as long as the festival is still there.

The deco of dear old Ni-chome is still the same at this special day as every year...

It is not Mardi-Gras, neither is offical...

...but it's still nice to be there and have the SAME kinda fun once in a year...

Coz it's our street, our day, our Matsuri...

    ...And I like balloons :0)

    My friends having a blast!

    Yo-ichi Sweetheart:

Sorry but... no matter how hard you try to look like an angel, all I can see in this picture  is...

    GAY GAY GAY! Haha!

    When balloons fly...

    OZ Trip:    // Day 3 // --7th Aug  (Sat.)  Sunshine Coast 1

A big day for us coz we were going to Sunshine Coast. We planned this from long time ago. Simon booked the tickets and hotel: Novotel Twin Waters, a resort with the most gorgeous view I've ever seen.  he upgraded the room into a suite so easily coz he works for Accor...let's call it a hospitality advantage...The Queen used to come and stay here too...ahh, by Queen I mean the Queen, not George Michael...or Elton John.

novotel twin waters resort sunshine coast australia

    Inside Novel tell looks gorgeous...

    ... let alone out side!

The suite we stayed... quite nice isn't it?

From the balcony, view was just lovely... Of course that includes ME! LOL!

Dun know what this cute rubber boat is called but I promise it can go too fast! (Sweat, sweat!;o)

Had a wonderful sea-food buffet. We were both sooo hungry and the prawns were just amazing!

  • [#77] Can I Be A Little...Excoited?

So guess it's time to do another update. It's been so long and so much had happened recently!

I got the reply from G.E.! Yeah! Two weeks after the Tokyo Career Forum! And as expected, they asked me to send another resume with specific questions they asked and I did. Then another week passed, I got a mail from America, east coast, saying that they want to give me a English phone interview on Tuesday night! Great! Again no matter how the result turns out, I'm gonna enjoy this!!! Job changing does sound exciting sometims, as the experience I heard from a friend recently, great chances just crash into your life without letting you know it!

My next excitement! I'm moving out of dorm into a guest house (a.k.a. Gaijin house)! Wohoo! It's only 3 blocks away from where I live now and it's just like a fun house. Already got the key but it still takes time to move. So many shit around and I need time to sort them out. It's exactly the same as where I am living now, one room for myself with lots of people living in the same building, lot more this time coz it's the whole building not only one floor. But finally I can cook and have people over to have a small party! The only thing I have to worry about now is the internet access and the timing of moving coz I'll have to wait after my ----

OZ Trip!!! In 4 days I'm gone! OMG how excoited!! How noice!!! And I'll keep updating there with lots and lots of photos...so you guys can share the trip with me :) The reason for the trip? Well I do have an uncle there but I dun really like him...so you'll have to find the hint in this blog by yourself! Also you can mail me personally for technical support if  you can't find it.  And for this trip I also bought a digi-cam, my new baby, so take a look and check out the site!

Wanted to get the newest SONY DSC-F88

coz it has reversible lens and you can take

a  photo with your friend by yourself with

no mis-shot. 5.1 mega pixals and the design

      is damn cool!

                                                                    ======================================>>

But after a long talk with the manager at the shop, I took two fotos and found out the (also) newst SONY P100 just shows much better quality at night mode. So I decided immediately to get that one. Design is not bad too. With a shining rainbow(?) Cybershot sign on the body, what else can I ask for? And along with the camera I got ADSL internet access too coz it's a big discount to apply with the camera. But I'll switch into Light Fiber soon, the ADSL is just a temorary thing.

New place to live, new country to explore, new internet to use, new camera to play with and maybe(?) a new job to slap my ass around? Not too bad huh? I trotted away with the new camera and internet contract in bag and went to Nichome, where I met my friends and had a blast and took a photo with my new cam! Of course xanga will trim the size when I upload...it's 5.1mega pixals! Wohoo!

It's gonna be an absolutely HOT summer!
