  • [#26] Happy New EAR!!!

Had a wonderful meal with my dorm-mates on New Year's Eve. Made a tablefull of dishes with the best sea-food in Japan -- one of my dorm-mates got them for an amazingly cheap price through a friend. Well Happy New Year to that friend too. (click on the pic to get more ideas of Japanese New Year)

Then I went out to celebrate with some friends...ran into a super famous drag queen and took a few pics, wahoo! (see foto below) Then came a lota fun dancing at a club...which I didn't like and hadn't been ever since my first visit through almost 4 years...but last night I somehow ignored what's supposed to be negative in that place. Maybe that's why I thoght I had fun...sometimes 4 years just doesn't change a person too much does it? I went with LoLo and a friend, who obviously found a date at the club, YAY, have a nice lunch tomorrow!:)

Anyway it's New Year time now and I'm staying at home writing my thesis...ya, that sounds quite fun tho. I also watched a part of <24 Hours> during the break...which means all the time(?)... it was sooo good!

What's everyone doing during New Year then I wonder? Either tell me or put it on your Xanga, mkay? Happy New Year to ya all!!! Kisses^^^

  • [#25] Someone Is In Town!

My Xanga mate, Clark8 a.k.a. G.Lo (Genifer Lopetz?), Haychan's boyfriend, a Texan, a singer, a boy who has never been on plane for more than 10 hours, in here in Japan now. So Haychan, Loren and me, three Xanga-mates met at one place, Tokyo, isn't that awesome!? Well what's more important is, two lovers finally saw each other, I'm soooo happy for them!

We said we are gonna update the fotos together and then make links to each other...well obviously I'm the slowest...and I can't upload the fotos! Dammit...but I can make the 'links' yet :) To read more and see more fotos, go to Haychan and Clark8's page for today and enjoy!

We went to Karaoke for the first time (can I assume there is gonna be a second time, pleeeease?) and had soooo much fun. Liz, oh I always wanted to write something about Liz a.k.a our official Lizbian, was there too so even more fun. Though I have never seen this girl being sober before, when she sings, she sings it great. And the one with a great voice was obviously way too happy so he drank a little more than he was allowed...before he turned to 20 tonight and Ooops, he dropped his microphone on the floor!!! We had so much laugh at the Karaoke and more fotos are coming soon!

    Happy Birthday, LoLo!

I have a feeling that we are all gonna have a happy new year, hehe.

  • [#22] War is Over

Yes, after 3 days and 3 nights only living on water, the Hunger Strike in my dorm was finished on Saturday. I wanna give a loud shout to the 3 guys who participated in the 'huger' part and also the people who had surported (including me:)

And it worked! They finally started to listen to us -- after one and a half years, a little bit late tho -- and started to make things moving towards the 'good way' such as accept our constructive suggestion of helping them to get rid of the red figures while keeping our dorm, etc. -- and I'm glad to say it finally, our dorm is gonna survive! It was pretty touching to hear on the final meeting that decided our dorm's fate with the 'big ones' from YMCA, some of the guys cried and we all knew that those tears meant both certain kind of appreciation and release.

Yesterday we all went to the church. A lot of us are not a Christian but going to the church isn't odd to us. And for the first time, every member of the dorm went together. It was Christmas this week and three people were baptized. It was nice to go to the church and hear all those beautiful songs but the people I'm personally most thankful to isn't GOD but the three people who were willing to throw their lives to save the dorm.

That foto is the tent in which they stayed during the strike. I lived there one night too. Ain't it so cute!?

WISH EVERY ONE A HAPPY HOLIDAY!!!

  • [#21] Sunday... X'mas Party(2)

Yes, another Christmas party, this time at friends' place though. They are a couple, Don & Yoshi living in Atami, which used to be the hottiest paradise for honey moon and vacations in Japan coz it has bunches of famous Onsen (hot springs) aroung its area and also it sits beside the sea.

When I first went there, I was invited by Kk and he usually do house-sitting for them when they go travelling. It's a bit far from Tokyo though, around 50 minutes by Shinkansen, 2 and half hours by normal train... But I tell ya what, it's so worth the distance!

They own this gorgeous Canadian style house (Don is Canadian, he also actually designed and 'built' it), which over-looks the mountain and is five minutes away from the sea, and what's more, has a Onsen place in the basement! They are very kind and always invite people to go and stay at their house for vacation, etc, and I think everyone enjoys to go. There is no doubt in that! Since Don and Kk volunteers at the same English Conversation Class for gay people, they knew each other a few years ago and every year around this time, Don and Yoshi will throw a Christmas party and invite everyone (including friends, English class members, etc.) at their nice house and every time, tons of food. Don is a great cook and he often makes a huge list of  courses and desserts about a week ago and spend a whole day preparing and cooking before the party. We sometimes go there one day before hand and  try to help in/out (if not making any trouble).

Besides Don & Yoshi, the constant residents of the house are, one dog and 4 cats!...since dog Sheeba's death OMG, they are sooooo cute. And Lucky, the dog is my favorite. Each of the animals has a different story his/her and Don is so fond of telling people over and over again about the stories how they found them, or how they saved them from death or how they were accepted by other animals in the house and became family members. They are pretty naughty sometimes but it's nice to see them jumping up and down, teasing you when you are not prepared or even knock off a glass!

Well, you tell me if they are cute or not!!!

OMG, we had sooo much food that night! Fotos from left: 1) The turkey was so delicious!...2) Desert : French pear cooked in red wine... 3) Don: If you dun put down the camera, I'll slap you now! The pudding in the foto was so yummy!

Wow! What a lovely weekend! ...Burp!

Hey you! Happy Birthday to you and you know who you are! I enjoyed watching that movie with you...let's all get some Samurai spirit and take less sugar, hehe!

  • [#21] Friday... X'mas Party(1)

Finally have time to sit in front of my computer and update my xanga... Have sooo many fotos to share coz I had a wonderful weekend!

So these fotos are from Friday's Christmas party of my company -- the one I'm going to start working for next April in a very nice hotel. Guess what happened, the food was great, conversations with my future colleagues were nice too...the only thing was, they hired a troupe, all the members of which dressed in  Abaranger costumes (Japanese Superhero, just like Ultra-man, Pokemon or Godzilla kind, aren't you familiar with that!?)

Guess the company hired the troupe because

they knew many senior employees, etc. would

bring their family, including kids, lots of kids...

But when the first character NAJA (see below) showed

up at the hall, every little child there started crying!

    ...And you figure out why!!!

I promise she kidnapped me in this one! She insisted.

That was the only female fighter of the night!!!

Look how awkward I was then...

    ...hmmm, I kinda liked it

    Cheeeeese!!!!

To take these fotos, the Fighters bribed the little kid with a super laser wrist armor...which I really wanted, hehe.

    The show began, as always,

with bad guys kidnapping a salary-man.

    Glad that extra wasn't me...phewww

And of course, the good guys will show up

and rescue him! Look at the expensive costumes!!!

There were only Yellow, Red and Blue Fighting on

the good side...of course they were beaten up very badly...

Then Black joined in...the group became more powerful! So they kept fighting... kept being beaten up...again!

Finally, the White showed up! He was cool. (Yes, I like that one. You can see that from my profile foto! :) Then with his help, at last, finally, eventually, they killed the Bad Guys!!! Yeah---what a nice story for little children! Haha...

And I was tired like hell after the show was over! It was too long in whatever wayz!! Then they had another magic show after that OMG!!! If not were the lottery drawing, I'd have broken my waist...well I got the third prize out of ten prizes, which made me a little happier, actually much happier...I'm easy to deal with, hehe.

I think the whole night was, in general, very cute! The Super-hero show made me love Japan more and among all those kids that night, my fav was him!

Well I'm even tired now from downloading, editing, uploading those fotos and write this blog...I'll leave Saturday (part 2) for tomorrow ;) Ciao!

  • [#20] queerasfolk

After having visited my parents' like every Saturday, I went to a bar at night with some friends -- two of Kk's students from his voluntary English speaking class (for gay men), who are both in their 40-50's. I've known them for a long time and now they want to go to Shanghai so came to me for some advice. We had a nice talk and met this super cute boy in the bar!!! Wanna see his foto? Click the tiny thumbnail but he's so cute so be prepared:)

Later another guy came, he is a friend of theirs and he is a senior 'seat attendant' in North West Japan. Guess what's the price he got for all of them to fly to Shanghai? A mere more than 10,000yen! (abt $100). The cheapest tickets usually cost at least $300-$400! I know one of my AirplainFreak friend is getting jealous now, lol ;) And what's more, I just found two of them graduated from Chu-o, my school, decades ago! Hay, isn't that great!!!???

Today, after I got up, I went out to meet a friend who I met on the net for the first time. I got his message while I was looking for friends in Shanghai through internet these days and he said he's from Shanghai but is also living in Japan now. Always be glad to hear from folks from my dear old town. So we met up today. He turned out to be this 185cm tall boy, with a little feminine looking. He said he's been here for 3 years and had never been to Ni-chome (the gay area in Shinjuku) tho he wants to coz he's afraid and he knows nobody here who is gay. That PERFECTLY reminded me of me 4 years ago when I just came to Tokyo. Alone, lonely, lack of friends and courage and dun know where to go!!! The difference he's been here for 3 years now and he 'sort of ' had experience before. What kind of experience? I asked. The he told me something really shocked me: he dated 2 guys in high school, in the same class, who were both straight. Besides them, he knew nobody who's gay or who's in the community whatever he is and every one of his other normal friends thought the two guys were ugly and told him to try dating other guys and all that jazz...I was like WAIT A DAMN MINUTE! That happened in China? High school? You dating straights? And your friends! They were so supportive and told you to date other guys? WOW! I could only listen with a huge question mark on my face...I started realizing how amazingly fast China is changing these days, heehee.

He had broken up with both of  his two 'straight' boyfriends,  because they both have girls in their lives now. Poor boy. He's now nit...nit...Azzzcheeeeew! Sorry, knitting a scarf for the one just broke up recently as a goodbye present. What a boy, I probably would do the same...Why didn't I think of that, dammit...only if I know how to knit! We talked over lunch abt loads of things. I found out that boy obviously doesn't have a coming-out problem between him and his mom as I do between me and mine though he is worried...When one of his EXes was talking about coming to Japan a while ago before they broke up, he made a huge plan of moving out, renting a room and living with him and went looking for a huge queen-size bed in the furniture shops, with his mom! OMGosh, I just wish to borrow his mom for...five minutes, izat ok?

The thing is I was always afraid to deal with younger guys...uhh, I mean anyone who's younger than me means younger...coz I'm bad at it! Even sometimes age and knowledge doesn't have to be balanced, I feel I'm already the one who needs to be taught, educated and if you are younger and know less even than, say...me, sorry, it's just not my responsibility to...but anyway, today I did pretty well I think. I carried on my shoulder the duty of an elder brother letting his younger Queer Folk boy know more and see more, and yes I think I made it. But don't even think that I'm already a sophisticated bitch! Not yet, not yet! (I started realizing why Toooqt4u2 just called me Pimp Daddy recently...)

I'd love to call it a culture revolution coz I spent half an hour explaining (almost arguing!) why Madonna has to be a gay icon and 15 minutes on why gay people like rainbow flags, sometimes even panties...and spent a lot more time later wondering why did I have to start from there...? Anyway it was fun listening to myself saying all these stuff even I didn't know before I stepped in...well everyone has a start right? And now I'm almost glad to see that someone else is 'starting' with my helps, whether they are helpful or not! Wish I could just plug a USB cable in my tiny fragile head and connect my brain with his (a much bigger one), so he can take whatever he wants, whether it is garbage or shit, just take it by himself, coz I dun want to be responsible for misleading!

Later we even went to Ni-chome -- his first DEBUT in Ni-chome tonight! Again it reminded me of myself 4 years ago when I just came out here... And again it was nice to see him feeling safe making his first Gay night debut because of me! We went to three bars coz I wanted to check out all the boi...oooops! I wanted to let HIM check out all the different styles of bars in the area. And we ran into friends of mine so I introduced him to them, blah blah blah. When I got home, I just felt my legs and jaws were soooo sore from walking and talking too much! What's more, he had successfully made me feel that I'm all of a sudden 30 years older than yesterday! But somehow I'm still glad. He's my friend from now on. I never had any younger gay friends around and he is the first. And he is my Queer Folk (have an older friend from Shanghai tho, we met him tonight too)! But if he dares call me Sensei (teacher, master) one day, I'd slap his cheeks. PHUM!

Ok, I'm tired now. Bed, here I come. Jump! Ouch!

  • [#20] Hi My Xanga Mates!

Haven't updated my Xanga for almost a week...and I know that you know, coz I kept getting those harrassing messages Promised someone that I won't update until he saw the last one...hehe. And he just saw it today, so I can change my BGM and update again. Soorrryyyy! But anyway, I know you love me so...haha!

I have been busy thru the whole week, working as usual till very 'early' (or late?) in the morning, but what's different is I finally started writing my thesis...OMG, thesis, thesis, thesis, thesis, thesis, thesis!!! Also me and my dorm mates are busy preparing for the hunger strike which is about to take place soon. So, you imagine what a crazy week it was...

Finally weekend has come and I can take a breath. First things first, I'll put on those photos I longed to put on about, ummm, you're right, a week ago. I was with Haychan and Takako, a gorgeous friend of Haychan who has a really nice, bright personality (see related weblog). I'm so going to see her again and have brunch or lunch or whatever with her!

Extra points on Hay-chan's hat, I have never seen such a cute hat and omg, you should see his shoes too! I'm sure he's the gayest guy among all the gays I've ever seen...just next to Big Gay Al, lol.

Later that day we went to GAP and I got my parents some stuff and myself a nice hat too...My daddy loves the shirt I bot him, so everyone happies! (hey! duncha dare laugh at my gramma! Once I chink it up, I chink it up all the way! Haha)

AND!!! Some of my school mates have been planning for our graduation trip. It's only less than 50,000yen to go to Los Angels by the end of Jan. but since it's gonna be so cold there, we are also planning to go to Australia! Is there any one of my Xanga mates from OZ? *wink*, *wink*. Another plan is I may go to Europe by myself. It's gonna be a huge trip for me so I need to take some time to think about it.

K, time to go to bed now. BTW, the music is from Jim Brickman...I had been searching for his songs for 2 years since I first heard his piano on radio long time ago when I was in China and thank God I found them :)

To Clark8: 21, 20, 19...___s left for ___ing for T___. You know what I mean! LOL

To Haychan: Have a nice trip in ___!!! And dun you dare shit on my GAP!
